Privacy Policy
What personal data the Socify app collects, why, who in your apartment can see it, and how to export or delete it.
In short: Socify stores what your apartment needs to run its maintenance — your account, your flat, bills, expenses, meter readings, complaints and meetings. People in your apartment can see apartment records; nobody outside it can. We never handle your money, we don't sell data, and we don't show ads. You can export your data or delete your account from More → My profile, or via this page.
1. Who we are
Socify (the "App") is an apartment maintenance and management application operated by KrazzyCreations, Hyderabad, Telangana, India ("we", "us", "our"). This policy applies to the App on Android and iOS and to socify.krazzycreations.com.
2. Apartments and roles
In Socify, residents are organised into apartments — a residential building or society, usually run by an owners' or residents' welfare association (your "Association"). Anyone can create an apartment; its creator becomes its first admin. Admins invite owners and tenants by email, or people join with the apartment's 8-character join code. One account can belong to several apartments with a different role in each.
We process personal data to provide the App to you and your apartment. Admins, acting for your Association, decide what apartment records to keep in Socify — flats, bills, expenses, readings and payment status — and are responsible for their accuracy and for how they use information they view or download from the App.
3. Data we collect

We do not collect your location, contacts, SMS or call logs, microphone audio, or card, UPI PIN or bank account details, and we do not use advertising identifiers.
If you enter information about other people — for example, inviting an owner or tenant by email — please make sure they know and that you're allowed to share it.
4. Device permissions
The App asks for a permission only when you use a feature that needs it. You can change permissions in your device settings at any time; declining only disables that feature.
- Camera — to photograph a water meter, an expense receipt, or a complaint.
- Photos / files — to attach an existing image (receipt, complaint photo, or the Association's UPI QR code), and to save or share PDF bills.
- Notifications — to tell you about new bills, payment updates, complaints and meetings. You can also turn notifications off in More → Notifications.
5. How we use data
- To provide the App — create and secure your account, verify your email, reset your password, link you to your apartments and flats, and run features such as bills, finances, water meters, complaints and meetings.
- To calculate and generate bills — combine the expenses, income, meter readings and corpus settings an admin selects into flat-wise amounts and a PDF bill.
- To communicate with you — send invitations, password-reset emails, and notifications about bills, complaints and meetings.
- To keep Socify safe — prevent misuse and unauthorised access, and keep activity logs.
- To support and improve the App — answer questions, diagnose crashes, and understand which features are used.
- To meet legal obligations — including responding to lawful requests from authorities.
We process your data with your consent, which you give when you create an account and use the App, and where otherwise permitted by law. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Your rights), though some features — or the App as a whole — may then stop working for you.
We do not sell your personal data, share it for advertising, or show ads in the App.
6. Who can see your data in the App
Socify is designed so an apartment's records are transparent to its own members, and invisible to everyone else.
- Admins of your apartment can view your profile (name, email, phone, address) but cannot edit it. They can see and manage flats, occupants, bills, payment status, finances, meter readings, complaints and meetings.
- Other members of your apartment (owners and tenants) can see the apartment's bills — including the PDF's flat-wise breakdown, which lists each flat's resident name and amount — the income and expense records, the members list, complaints raised in the apartment with the name of the person who raised them, and meeting agendas, notes and action items.
- Your own payment status and statement are visible to you and your apartment's admins.
- People outside your apartment — including members of other apartments on Socify — cannot see any of your apartment's data.
PDF bills and other records can be downloaded and shared outside the App by people who can see them. Once shared, they are outside our control.
7. UPI payments
Socify does not process payments. Maintenance is paid by residents directly to their Association using the UPI ID or QR code the admins have added, which is printed on each bill. When you tap Pay via UPI, the App opens your UPI app with those details; the payment happens entirely between you, your UPI app and bank, and your Association. We never receive your UPI PIN, card or bank account details, or the money itself.
Admins mark a flat as paid in the App after confirming the payment, and that status is what Socify stores.
8. Service providers and other sharing
We share personal data only as needed with:
- Cloud hosting, database and file storage providers that store the App's data, photos and PDF bills;
- Email delivery providers that send invitations, verification and password-reset emails;
- Push notification services — Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) on Android and Apple Push Notification service on iOS;
- Crash reporting and diagnostics tools that help us find and fix problems;
- Authorities or other parties when required by law or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us;
- A successor business if Socify or KrazzyCreations is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Service providers may process data only on our instructions and must protect it. Some may store data outside India; where they do, we use providers with appropriate safeguards and comply with any restrictions under Indian law.
9. Retention
- Account and profile — kept while your account is active, and deleted within 30 days after you delete your account.
- Apartment records — bills, payment status, income and expenses, receipts, meter readings, complaints and meetings are the Association's records. They are kept while the apartment exists in Socify so the Association can keep its accounts, and deleted within 90 days after the apartment's admins delete it.
- Your name in apartment records — after you delete your account, your name and contact details are removed from your profile and membership. PDF bills already generated, and financial entries that name you (for example, as the person who paid an expense), stay in the Association's records because they document its accounts.
- Device logs and crash reports — up to 90 days.
- Backups — deleted data is removed from backups within a further 30 days.
10. Exporting your data and deleting your account
- Export: open More → My profile → Export my data to download a copy of your personal data.
- Delete in the App: open More → My profile → Delete account and confirm.
- Delete without the App: follow the steps on our account deletion page, or email vinay.amaraneni@gmail.com from your registered email address with the subject "Socify account deletion request".
If you are the only admin of an apartment, you'll be asked to make another member an admin, or delete the apartment, before your account can be deleted — every apartment must always have at least one admin.
11. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and stored with reputable cloud providers that encrypt data at rest. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, password-reset links are single-use and expire after 30 minutes, and access is restricted by role in the App and within our team. No system is completely secure; if a personal data breach affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
12. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws, you can:
- Access — get a summary of your personal data and how we process it, including via Export my data;
- Correct and update — edit your profile in the App, or ask your apartment's admins or us to correct other records;
- Erase — delete your account, or ask us to erase data we no longer need;
- Withdraw consent — at any time, as easily as you gave it;
- Nominate — appoint someone to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity;
- Complain — raise a grievance with us, and if it isn't resolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
If you live outside India, you may have similar rights under your local law. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below. We respond within 30 days.
13. Children
Socify accounts are for adults aged 18 and over. The App is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves or laws change. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, notify you in the App or by email before they take effect.
